Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I have been having a rough spell trying to get enough sleep and keep my blood sugar levels under control on this shift. I thought I was gonna get to go back to swing shift, but the little weasel that suggested a three way shift swap AND got the office to approve it backed out of the deal the next day. New addition to the family!

Here's the new little heart stealer we just added to the family!
Her name is Cocoa and she is about 14 months old. Mostly Lab, chocolate on color with a little evidence of some other breed, but who cares!
She belonged to an 88 year old sweetheart of a woman and was given to her by her grandson, but she decided...

It's a Sushi thing

Yup... I made my own sushi last night. I used yellow fin tuna chili sauce, carrots, cucumber and green beans. I even made the sushi rice. They are right, rolling it tight enough ti cut is the hardest part. But everyone loved it! It tasted really good... but only one of the rolls was pretty. LOL I'll get there though.

Well I just came back home from the hospital for a good nights sleep. I've hardly had any sleep in the last 30 hours. Jenn's going to stay at the Hospital until Saturday. So I'll be heading back first thing in the morning. Everything went smoothly.

Actually, I don't think there's ever been a smoother deliver. I say that having seen none. But it was nothing like in the movies. No screaming or yelling. Not even any crapping or peeing on the delivery table...

This one has another first for me. This is the first time using the a particle engine to create realistic grass.

This version is fresh off the renderer before any photoshop (or GIMP). I think the grass looks a lot more real in this version.

I wanted to make something to put in the babies room. This is the first one I've done using 3D Blender for Linux. It's probably one of the best one's I've done. I did the frog completely free hand. I didn't do use any profile or techniqual drawings. It's also my first attempt at realistic water, and probably the best looking water I've done.
