Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I have been having a rough spell trying to get enough sleep and keep my blood sugar levels under control on this shift. I thought I was gonna get to go back to swing shift, but the little weasel that suggested a three way shift swap AND got the office to approve it backed out of the deal the next day. Unless something miraculous happens, I will likely be on this shift the next year and a half or however long it takes for the contractors to get...

Well I just came back home from the hospital for a good nights sleep. I've hardly had any sleep in the last 30 hours. Jenn's going to stay at the Hospital until Saturday. So I'll be heading back first thing in the morning. Everything went smoothly.

Actually, I don't think there's ever been a smoother deliver. I say that having seen none. But it was nothing like in the movies. No screaming or yelling. Not even any crapping or peeing on the delivery table...

I'm still kicking, just finally get ganged up on by the weird hours I keep and not getting enough sleep.....meaning I'm finally sleeping. A lot. Just not all at once.

Well, my supervisor told me this week that I will almost certainly be going back to swing shift in the near future. I can't say I will mind. I had always wanted to try third shift, and if I was younger and single, I probably would like it better. That said, I miss being with Babs at night and she doesn't sleep well without me here.
I had a much easier time controlling my diabetes on swing shift and if I am off more than a day or two my sleep schedule start to revert to swing...

Nasty little intestinal flu going around here. Babs came down with it Monday. Just diarrhea at first, but then Wednesday night the vomiting hit and I had to come home early and take her to the hospital to get some fluids in her and a scrip for the nausea. The Doc said it has been taking about two weeks for folks to completely recover. She's finally feeling human again as of this afternoon. So far, I haven't shown any signs of having it, but I don't have any idea how long it...

Anybody up for getting a chat going? I keep weird hours now since I am on third shift, but I'm game if everybody else is. I have tonight off and could chat most any time, although I will likely nap somewhere between 8:30 and 10:00 PM, I would be up until way late in the morning after that though unless Babs and I start carousing on a rare night off.

Well, I had been keeping it sort of quiet since I was not sure if it would stand or not, but I was told back on December 19th I had been promoted, but they passed over 9 people in my own shop with more seniority and more actual experience operating engines than me and I knew at least one of them was going to file a grievance over the deal.

Well, I had a Dr's appt yesterday and everything looks great! Baby sounds healthy, and he's been kicking me some today. Another 10 - 14 weeks to go!!

The Dr still has me on bed rest...he probably will for the rest of the pregnancy. So I just pretty much stay at home and work from home, the military isn't going to let me go that easily. And the kitties seem to be highly affectionate now...I think they know the baby is here. Sadie loves to lay on my belly. The baby...
