Dave likes to give me shit because the books are written "geared towards teenagers" - but IMO that is because of the complete abstinence in the 1st three books - but it explains why, and it makes sense.
The first book "Twilight" reads much like watching the movie. The movie is pretty close to the book, excepting, of course, the few little things here and there that are impossible to convey in a movie adaptation. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book, but little did I know
Once I finished the 1st book, I just HAD to see what happened next, so I picked up the 2nd one
I read "New Moon" in less than 24 hours. To compare it to its predecessor, is like comparing a farrari to a pinto, LOL! It was absolutely an AWESOME read! The direction the whole storyline took was completely out of nowhere, but at the same time, it made so much sense! Of course, by this time, Im hooked, theres no going back. I purchased the remaining 2 books in hardcover, I wasnt about to wait for them to hit paperback!
"Eclipse" goes more towards filling in a lot of holes in the story that you really didnt have a clue were even there until they were filled. It also goes a lot towards setting up the final book
"Breaking Dawn" was nothing short of amazing, in my opinion. The way the book is written, and the switch from one characters POV, then writing as another character, then back - its like 2 different people actually wrote the book. Nearing the end, I realized I had less than 100 pages left, then it was done, no more! I was actually depressed!
I STRONGLY recommend these books! I purchased a few others, read one of the others, started another one, then I have 2 more, then I am going to REread the "Twilight" saga, they are absolutely amazing!
